Background	Encorafenib (brand name Braftovi) is an oral, small-molecule kinase inhibitor designed to target and inhibit the activity of mutated BRAF proteins, specifically the V600E and V600K mutations. These mutations are key drivers of cancer growth, leading to constitutive activation of the MAPK signaling pathway, which is common in approximately 50% of melanomas.
