Therapeutic use	Busulfan is an alkylating chemotherapy agent used primarily as part of conditioning regimens before bone marrow or stem cell transplants to treat leukemia. It destroys existing bone marrow cells and cancer cells, particularly in chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), and acts as an immunosuppressant for patients undergoing transplantation.
